IMPORTANT:  Prior to the installation of AirBlock, your wireless network must be working properly in Open Mode (no security) according to the vendor default settings.  If you have changed any of the settings such as the SSID or set encryption keys, then you need to Restore Vendor Default Settings, prior to installing AirBlock.  It is only possible to install AirBlock after all settings have been returned to their default values.

What is a PASSCODE?

A Passcode is the same as a Pre-Shared Key (PSK), also known as a shared secret.                    It is the secret code which protects your wireless network, and is required in order                     to gain access. To complete the security setup of your wireless LAN, you will be                   asked to enter a six digit Passcode, consisting of letters and numbers. Make sure                       to select a "non-intuitive" Passcode. Do not choose your family name, phone number,         birthday or other easy-to-guess codes. You should also try to avoid writing down
the Passcode and make sure to keep it as confidential as possible.  If you forget your      Passcode, use the reminder mechanism of the AirBlock software to remember it.

How Do I Remove AirBlock?

If you would like to remove AirBlock, the program includes an
uninstall option that allows you to remove AirBlock from your
hard drive. To uninstall AirBlock, go to your systems Control Panel,
go to Add/Remove programs, select AirBlock and click Remove.

REMEMBER: in order to return your access point to non-secure mode
so that future non-secure communication between your access
point and your PC cards will be possible, you must uninstall the
AirBlock software from each and every computer on the network.
Failure to do so, will leave the access point operating in secure
mode.

PLEASE NOTE, uninstalling AirBlock will return your PC cards and
your access point to operate in non-secure mode.
